Hi, I’m Maria Montes from Spain, and I’m 25 years old with a degree in Economics. However, I’ve been working as a summer camp leader and a casual babysitter since I was 18. I love spending time with kids, creating a fun and safe environment where they can grow, learn, and feel confident. My goal is always to bring out the best in myself so that children trust me and enjoy their time while developing important skills. I’m currently in Sydney on a Working Holiday Visa (WHV), which allows me the flexibility to work while gaining valuable experience.

I have worked as a Nanny both here and overseas in the UK for a duration of 10 years. I seem to have a natural rapport with babies and young children, probably because I adore them. I did this up until I had my own family. The ages of the children range from birth to 12 years. Part of those experiences; I had the privilege of supporting a Mum with her twin girls from birth to 6 months. I am the mother of 2 children, Adam now 25 and Lucy 22. I currently work for a family in Billynudgel with 2 girls- 1 & 3. I've had an amazing year with them. We enjoy art, singing dancing, exploring outdoors and making up games together. 2023 saw me with a family in Pottsville with a darling 2 year old and a witty 8 year old. I worked with them 2 days per week and now work casually for them. Previously I have worked for the Education Dept for 4 years as a classroom assistant. This was amazing experience working with these young minds with quirky personalities, encouraging them to learn and grow. Finding the balance of guiding them and prompting their own ideas and problem solving. I still enjoy the simple but important things about mothering and running a household; like simply being there, listening, validating a child's experience, playing, being creative, encouraging their creative skills and minds, right through to efficiently running a home, providing wholesome meals, including children in the cooking experience and the importance of feeding themselves well.

I am an open, kind and upbeat person who genuinely loves spending quality time with children of all ages 🌼 I have a lifetime of experience and it still never ceases to amaze me just how much pure joy I get from a child laughing 😊
