... and live-out nanny. WWVP card registration no: 96757 exp's 14/07/2029. Equivalent to NSW WWCC. Mature with long term experience educating & caring for my own children, other's in childcare centres or as a live out nanny in their homes. Up until very recently cared/ring for a young baby part of 2 days a week & another baby 3-4 hours some week days. Both families need for care has wound back. This year I will continue to care for one of the families & have availability Mon's, Tue's & Fri's. Not available weekends, Friday or Saturday nights, each year have numerous/blocks of days off in Dec & Jan. Always not available public holidays & the day after new years day & 2 weeks early-mid February each year. Specificly in 2025 not available: 22 & 24/01 30/01-09/02. Previously worked as a qualified/childcare educator in childcare centres mostly 2007-2023. Wishing to add to my hours working as a nanny/day-time babysitter. I have transported children to & from after/school activities in my or supplied by families cars with supplied child car seat/s. In 2023 I did school pick ups & cared for a 6yr old & their 9 yr old sibling a few afternoons a week similar to my (lower down the page) 2022 family. Over the 2022 school year, I regularly worked as a live-out nanny for a 4yr old & 6yr old siblings. I cared for the 4yr old at least most of one day a week & drove her to her daytime activities, some days dropped off/or picked up both from pre/school & drove both to daytime/after school swimming lessons. Was up to 20 hours/week. I encourage/join in with card/board games, make available indoor activities such as art, knitting, crocheting, sewing & craft. Able to bring my sewing machine to your home heavily supervised. I discourage screen time. Very open to your ideas of extracurricular activities. Once I know your family & your local area I am confident to make suggestions to you to extend local outdoor activities with your child/ren. I am very capable & willing to assist with homework. I have parent, personal & work referees. Still on call to do the odd school pick up/Fri or Sat late afternoon til late evening care for my 2022 family. We have remained close friends. My family & I are still very outdoorsy. We have a large vegetable garden. At the time took our children, now adults, camping, bicycling, on picnics on remote river banks & on long caravan road trips. As far as I am concerned there is no such thing as bad weather as long as you have the appropriate clothing (except of course the extreme outdoor sun & heat of summer.) Would do indoor activities in these instances. Love to jump in puddles or mud, go for long walks to local playgrounds or transport children to outdoor destinations. Would love to hear from you to discuss the care requirements of your child/ren.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I am a mature French born women, have been in Australia for now 30 years (I have dual citizenship), and am back to Canberra. I first lived in Perth where I completed an ‘Introduction to Child Care’ Certificate. Then I moved to Canberra where I worked as a casual relief worker in different childcare centres including the Alkira Child Care Centre and the Australian Institute of Sport’s Child Care Centre (Caretaker’s Cottage). I also worked at the Montessori Pre-School and the French-Australian Pre-school. I stopped working with children when the French Embassy employed me for four years. Then I spent a lot of time around Sydney and did not work for a few years looking after my own daughter. When I decided to work again I found work with the Commonwealth bank. I learned a lot in those different roles but I was missing caring for children, I enjoy their innocence and bubbly joy. I have been working for different private families and especially for Dr Alison Salkeld (Fell) looking after her son, and then his little brother, for 7 years. Since being Penrith area, I worked for 2 years for a familly and do casual babysitting. I believe that over the years, experience as well as being a mother myself, has allowed me to develop more maturity and everywhere I worked I know that I have been appreciated for my qualities of reliability, honesty, integrity, diplomacy and patience. In short, I love to care for children (and people) and always make sure that they are well looked after in every way, i cherish their slower time/space, contact with Nature and encourage their natural abilities. I have a valid driving license and a car, a current First Aid Certificate and I am a non-smoker (also do not drink alcohol). I have a Working With Children check available., also, I am a French tutor, I worked for 2 years teaching French to pre-schoolers and I can assist older children with their French homework or any other homework.
