We are looking for a regular mature, babysitter to become an extension of our family and assist with babysitting casual hours. It will be either one or both children. Hours vary and could be during the week (day or evening) or on the weekends, however, we book at least a month in advance. We are looking for someone with some flexibility on days / times.
We're really keen to also find someone who is keen to do a shift on New Years Day - 8am to 4pm.
You must have previous experience with babysitting toddlers and young children.
We have a four year old girl and a two year old boy. Both of our children have been babysat regularly to date and are both in a routine. Our daughter is toilet-trained, our son is in nappies and currently being toilet trained. Both children are good eaters, love playing and have excellent communication skills.
Our daughter loves pretend play in her playroom, reading books, playing with play dough, doing crafts, going to the park / zoo, playing outside in her outdoor kitchen, singing / dancing. Our son loves playing outside, on the tramp, riding his scooter, ball sports, read and pretend play.
We also have recently gotten a dog - a French Bulldog who is 12 weeks... so you have to like dogs and be willing to have the dog around!
We want someone who is engaging and energetic and ready to play with our kids when they're awake! When they're asleep, feel free to relax!
Depending on when we go out, we may have a meal with you beforehand and thus again, looking for someone who we get along with and enjoy your company. We like to book up to a month in advance babysitting, so you can know when we need you.
Nearly all meals (if we're not going to be home) will be prepared, bed clothes / nappies etc will be left out, and everything prepped for you. On occasion, if we're leaving before meal time - I will ask that you prepare lunch or dinner but this isn't very often.
We're keen to find someone who can start ASAP so we can get to know you and book in regular babysitting. We also have very limited family support living in Perth, as a result, we use babysitters quite a lot.
We're really looking forward to welcoming someone in to our home is like-minded when it comes to raising children and being part of our family.
