Meet Michelle: A nanny in Narraweena, NSW

My name is Michelle I am 29 Years old

While I was completing my higher school certificate, I started my career in childcare and completed a certificate ll in Community services where I also did volunteer work in different sized childcare centres from 35 - 150+ children.

After completing school and completing retail work for about a year I was given the opportunity to complete a traineeship for my Certificate lll in 2014 at a centre called Explore and Develop which I completed early 2015.

Once my traineeship was completed, I then moved on to a room leader position in Early 2015 at another centre called Wallaby Cottage and due to the centre closing my position ended in April 2022. During my time at Wallaby Cottage, I completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2022.

During this time I have also had experience babysitting and nannying for many different families during my career.

I have had experience in all age groups, completing programs, writing observations, setting up rooms, opening/ closing centre, going through accreditation, responding to emails/ phone calls, tours and communicating with parents.
