Meet Jax: A nanny and babysitter in Marrickville, NSW

I have about ten years of experience looking after children between the ages of 0-13 as a babysitter and nanny. Additionally, I have worked as a children's gymnastics coach and a children's art teacher. I strive to continuously implement knowledge from my psychology studies to ensure I foster an environment that caters to the developmentally appropriate needs of children, using empirically supported methods to raise kind, independent, and resilient children.

At the moment, I primarily look after a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old, doing school pickups and bedtime routines 1-2 times a week, and have done so for about 2.5 years with this family. I also casually babysit for about three other families and would be happy to provide their contact numbers as references.

In these roles, I have worked with children of all ages, abilities (including neurodivergent children), and interests. I am easily adaptable to the needs of different families and hold a current Working With Children's Check.

I always try to operate from a gentle parenting model of care, but I am flexible to whatever style your family prefers. With me, I can bring ideas for art projects, fun games, lots of energy, and extensive experience!
