Meet Laura: A nanny and babysitter in Southport, QLD

Hi, my name is Laura, I am 24 years old and I'm from Barcelona, Spain. I speak Catalan, Spanish and English. I've been living in Australia since July 2024, with a Work and Holliday visa, and I'm currently working as a waitress in Southport near where I live.

I'm on a casual contract wich let's me have some days off a week, also the shifts are usually from 10/11am to 4/5pm, so I have time to work before or after school, or till midnight if necessary.

As work experience as a babysitter, back home I was babysitting a 9 year old girl, and I was helping her with her homework and reading skills. Sometimes I also watched for her 2 siblings aged 8 and 10 years old and the dog, I was in charge of the house during the afternoon after school.

To know me better, I am a responsable, organized and a kind person. I find it easy to connect with kids proposing games or activities to have fun and learn. As hobbies I like music (know how to play piano and hukelele), also photography, sports like swimming, hiking, gym, karate, reading books or simply going into nature or the beach. I don't smoke or go out often.
