Meet Melva: A nanny and babysitter in St Kilda, VIC

My name is Melva and I am 24 years old. I have recently moved to Melbourne from Ireland.

I have a 4 year bachelor degree in education (primary) from Mary Immaculate College in Ireland. I have 3 years experience teaching in primary schools in Cork, Ireland. I have taught children aged from 4-12 in a classroom setting, as well as working as a special educational teacher and an English language teacher. I value the importance of play based learning and imaginary/creative activities.

As well as being able to support your child when playing or learning, I also have many years of babysitting and caring experience with babies as young as 6 months and children up to 13 years. During my time as a student teacher and primary school teacher, I have attended a couple of first aid seminars, child protection courses, professional development courses, as well as going through multiple Irish police checks.

I have multiple referees upon request including principals, vice principals, teacher colleagues, and parents.
