Meet Svenja: A nanny and babysitter in Clayton, VIC

Dear Families!

Hello, my name is Svenja, and I’m a 23-year-old early childhood education student. I am originally from Germany but am lucky enough to call Australia home for the past five years. After several years in Melbourne, I am currently enjoying the beauty of Port Macquarie as a little winter escape, but will soon be heading back to Melbourne (on the 26th of August). Therefore, I’m on the lookout for a wonderful family to nanny for.

My journey in childcare started in high school with babysitting and has since expanded to include roles as an Au Pair, Nanny, and most recently, an Educator. Alongside my practical experience, I’m completing my Bachelor’s in Education, which has enriched my understanding of child development.

When I’m not caring for children, I love running, reading, the beach, baking, and spending time outdoors with friends. I’d describe myself as an active person with a calm personality. Ideally, I’m looking for a position starting in early September, but am slightly flexible with that. While I’ll be focusing on my thesis (until October), I prefer to work around 3 days a week, but am flexible with days and times!
