I'm a primary school teacher relocating to Adelaide in April.
I have a passion for working with children and love to help them learn, grow and experience the wonders of the world. I have over 10 years experience working with children from 0-14 years of age in a variety of roles such as: a nanny for three separate families, in home educator for a child with Cerebral Palsy, live in Au-Pair for two separate families (Germany and Switzerland), ad-hoc babysitting for various families and currently as a Primary School teacher for over 5 years.
When the weather permits, I enjoy going outside with the children, exploring nature, playing at the playground, kicking a ball around the grass and playing hide and seek. I believe children are naturally inquisitive learners and take a hands-on learning approach, allowing children to learn and explore safely themselves whilst being close-by if they need any help.
Personally I am a keen cook and baker and would happily cook family meals, prepare lunch box snacks and children meals. If your children are interested in being in the kitchen, I'd happily cook meals with them, introducing them safely to how to move about a kitchen.
I really enjoyed my previous days working as a nanny, where the little 1.5y/o boy would run to the door when I arrived, cuddling me around the legs eager to start playing and reading books. Making blanket forts on rainy days and cooking healthy treats together. Going to the local park and petting dogs together. I look forward to helping future families with their little ones. If you think I may be a good fit for your family please don’t hesitate to reach out.
