Looking for: Casual Babysitting

I previously worked in accounts jobs in offices. However, when COVID 19 emerged I was having trouble getting work so I decided to study Childcare as I realize there is a need for childcare workers. I have worked at OAC Armadale as a permanent educator. However, now I am working in an office fulltime and looking at other options such as Casual work. I have 2 daughters aged 20 and 23. Whilst I was at OAC I tried to introduce children to fun learning experiences and always made sure they felt safe and secure inside and outside the room. I enjoyed making them feel safe and secure and introducing them to interesting learning activities.

I am a responsible, caring, and enthusiastic individual with 8 years of experience babysitting children aged between 0-16. I genuinely enjoy engaging with kids and encourage fun and rewarding activities to help promote their motor skills, cognitive development, self esteem, social skills and of course imagination. I prioritise safety and ensure a nurturing environment while maintaining clear communication with parents. I am dependable, organised, and have strong problem-solving skills, (other wise I wouldn’t have managed to receive my Certificate III in Event Management). I am also comfortable preparing meals, assisting with bedtime routines, and handling minor first-aid situations. My goal is to create a fun and safe atmosphere where children feel supported and happy.

Hi there! My name is Willamina (Mini for short), I’m in my second year studying a Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery, my dream course! I love to live an active lifestyle, cook and read. I pride myself on my quiet confidence and caring nature, and have had experience in baby-sitting, along with being part of a big, close family (being one of the eldest of 13 young cousins!). I worked in the high care ward of an aged care facility for 2 years and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, this helped shape me into the responsible and mature person I am, with extensive skills in personal care. I aim to provide a safe, fun and organised environment for your little one.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there! I am very excited about meeting and getting to know you. To start with I am looking for: • 2 jobs of 1 - 10 hr day or •1 job 20hrs in 2 days (mon-tues) or •1 job 40 hrs in 4 days (mon-thur). Currently in a PA/House manger/Nanny job that is Wed & Thursday. If the right family with 30-40hrs come along they understand, but i am looking in the main to stay with them, if I can find the right family(ies) for Monday & Tuesday. •I am not available on Fridays. Fridays are my days helping my mum visit my grandmother a fair drive from Melb. (Can babysit on Friday nights, but can’t work in the day) Essentials: - Valid Victorian Drivers Licence - WWCC: exp. 26/10/2028 - Police Check: exp. 20.09.25 - Level 2: First Aid (inclusive: Asthma, CPR exp. June 2025, & Epi-pen) exp. June 2027 - CV: with copies of my credentials - References Now about me - I have been providing childcare over the past 22 years. The last 9 of those I have been a Nanny. I have worked with many different family equations: twins with a younger siblings, all girls, all boys, brothers and sisters, and solo children. The ages I have looked after are from 9mths - 12 years old. My favorite age to look after are children 14 mths - 5 years old, I know I shouldn’t have a favorite age, but I do. I also find the easiest age to look after is 8-11 (they might have more tuded but they are able to attend to their selfcare without much promting). However all children are different and I stay adaptable, because as they age - how I interacted with them must change. Some children are runners, some are quite contemplators, others always need to be crafting and creating big cardboard constructions, while another is quite happy to sit and do colouring in and drawing non-stop. They all ask questions after question non stop, lols (as a result you get to learn from having to google answers to the questions you don’t have an answer for. For e.g. I now know the oldest living animal is the Greenland shark and it is guessed to have a lifespan of 250-500 yrs, the current oldest one of them is guessed to be 300 years old) I like to play word games and encourage conversation at dinner time. While walking or driving to school or activities, I like to play math games or encourage conversation, I let the children lead as to what they want to do, to encourage confidence in ones own voice. Duties I undertake: morning routines; breakfeast, lunch boxes, school bag packing, day-care/kinder/school drop offs -For the little ones when at home and not at daycare/kinddy. I like to have our week planned. Be it excursions to the zoo, park an indoor play center, library time or classes that helps their development (that the parents have enrolled them into) like Gymbaroo, Ready steady go, All Sports etc. to activities we can do at the house like baking or painting or even a playdate with their best friend. House management tasks; grocery and maintenance of pantry & basic medicine (ie expiries and organisation), light laundry duties, light house keeping, school holiday and pupil free day planning, meal planning, food prep (dietary requirements taken into consideration, naturally) multi-tasking and more. Afternoon routine; networking with other parents at the children’s school that the children are friends with or do extra curriculum with, extracurricular coordination, planning of play dates, supervise-assistance with homework and practice for their extra curriculum. With additional extras from me if wanted/needed or time permits (eg. Music theroy, maths etc.) Evening routine; Shower/bath time, dinner, oral hygiene, an evening game (if time permits) and attend their unique bedtime routine. History summary: •I started child caring in 2002 when I was 14: for my, then, piano teacher’s son. I cared for him 3 days a week, (after school) from the age of 2-8, while his mother worked from home: I had to master the skill of noise level control! •Once I was 16 I began to babysit for other families during the evenings, nights and on weekends. •When I started my tertiary studies I babysat casually between my part-time job and my studies 2006-2009 (I studied fashion but that world did not feel right for me). •Between 2010-2015 I would babysit and assist as a mother's helper when asked, whilst working 4 part-time jobs and trying to find my path in this world, by families that knew me, or who were referred to me. •In 2016 I went to Paris as an Au Pair. And fell in love with France. And started seeing the path I wanted to walk, and what I needed to do to get there. •In 2017 back in Oz; I undertook causal & part-time child-care positions. For families with babies, toddlers and preschoolers. •Eventual I found an amazing family of 5 (3 girls aged: 7, 10 & 12) to work for, as a full-time Nanny, I was with them from July 2017-July 2020. When it no longer made sense for me to be there whilst they worked from home, and the 3 girls couldn’t do their extra curricula’s because of lockdowns, or go to school. NOTE: Ages I give are of how old the children were, when I finished. •The next Family, was a family of 4; a boy- 9 years old & a girl - 7 years old, providing before and after school care 5 days a week from Feb 2021-Aug 2021. •From Sept 2021-Dec 2024; I have been working F/T with a great Family of 4: 2 boys; 5 & 9 years old. If you have read this far, I look forward to receiving a message from you. ☺️

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I have taken my company's redundancy program, ending my employment last July 2024. This is a big reset for me (knowing that my circumstance , now with an older daughter who is already independent)have changed. I have done my 5 months calming down, have few volunteer works in line, and still have a lot of energy at 52 years old to do more and be active. Although I have no professional baby-sitting experience in my resume, I have to say I love being around children, and am proud to have cared for my daughter , and have helped raised and cared for a niece and a nephew. I like doing my domestic chores (a household of 3) from cleaning, gardening, vacuuming, ironing/laundry, cooking, bedroom grooming, and will be comfortable doing these for a job, on top of caring for the baby/children as a priority, with care and respect. I have a very reliable car, have been driving for the last 25 years(with a clean record), and I have a current Working With Children Certificate (WWC) as a volunteer. IIf it helps with my application, I am willing to go for a baby sitting trial even without pay if it helps. I am up for an interview and suggested trial as i understand the importance of blending well with the dynamics of your family life style/work/domestic requirements. I hope to hear from your soon.
