About the Position:
Children: We have a 3-year-old son who is starting 3 year old kinder and a 6-year-old daughter who is moving into grade 1.
We are seeking someone who can assist in the morning and do kinder and school drop off and then the afternoon from 1pm when our son finishes kinder. It is a full day Tuesday.
Schedule: The position is three per week:
- Monday: 7:45am - 9.15am (school and kinder drop off)and 1:00pm - 5:30pm
- Tuesday: 8am - 5:30pm (all day)
- Wednesday: 7:45am - 9:15am (school and kinder drop off) and 1:00pm - 5:30pm
Total Hours per week: 21.5 per week
Responsibilities:
The day will involve caring for our son, including engaging him in activities such as playing, reading, visits to the park, beach, and library. Additionally, you'll be responsible for dropping off and picking up our son from kinder and daughter from the local school, which is within walking distance. Light housekeeping duties and assistance with cooking will also be super helpful.
Requirements:
- Experience caring for toddlers and school-age children - a professional background as a nanny or in early learning, kindergarten, or school teaching desirable
- highly reliable and punctual.
- Ability to engage children in enriching activities.
- Willingness to assist with light housekeeping tasks.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check (proof required).
- References from previous childcare positions.

Myself and husband are arriving in Melbourne from NZ on Jan 6th to live with our children girl (3 in Jan) and boy (5 in may).
They are easy going fun children who love reading drawing imaginative play in the garden etc. our daughter loves ballet!
We will be renting south yarra way and the children will be going to ELC nearby from 815 to 315, 5 days.
We are looking to find someone to help us pick up the children from ELC 2 afternoons a week and look after them until I get home from work from 3pm to 6pm.
It would be amazing to have someone with occasional flexibility to then do a full day from 8am at home if the children do not feel up to attending ELC, lily is still little so may find 5 days a week a lot some weeks. Also to very occasionally come over at 7am in the morning and drop the children at ELC if husband is away as I start work early (rare).
Mid week evening babysitting as an extra would be great to when needed!
Main focus is just collection from ELC taking them home playing and giving them dinner, we just want the children to have a happy time whilst we are out!

Duties include: school pickup (walking distance from our home in South Melbourne) assistance with homework, transport of the 10 year old to after school activities (our car may be available occasionally, but it is preferable that you have your own car).
