A little bit about us and our situation.
We have a 2.5 year old boy (Arthur) he is full of beans and super sweet and friendly but can also be very grumpy if he is tired. However I think he mainly just does this for Mum and Dad. Our daughter Annabelle is 10 months old and is a delightful little girl.
Mum (Sharna) is a NICU nurse and has just started back at work doing 12 hr shifts and Dad (Myles) is a technician and works 9-5pm.
We also have a dog who is very friendly and loves a pat. Her name is Rosie and she is a cocker spaniel so you need to comfortable with pets.
Our family used to help us out but they are currently unwell and unable to. So we are looking for someone to:
Pick up our children up from daycare on a Tuesday afternoon, bring them home for dinner and bed etc until my husband gets home around 6pm.
So the hours on Tuesday will be approx 4-6pm.
On Wednesday I work a night duty so need someone to come around lunchtime to look after the kids so I can have a sleep before work and then be there for the period where I leave for work and my husband won’t get home yet. So the hours on Wednesday would be 12pm-6pm.
If the kids adored you and had lots of fun I would consider taking them out of daycare on a Tuesday to stay home with you.
We are looking someone trustworthy, fun and competent and comfortable with managing two busy little people.
We may also call on you for date nights etc.
You would become part of our village!
Some light housework would be lovely but not necessary the kids are the main priority.

I’m looking for someone to join my team as a support worker for a beautiful 10 year old boy with Norries Disease who is blind and has autism and an intellectual disability. Mainly looking for Sundays 3pm-8pm and school holidays with the possibility of increasing to a week night in the future as well. All training and ongoing support is provided by me so no need for prior experience but this is highly regarded. You would need to have a passion for working with children and learning new skills as well as the ability to stay calm when child is dysregulated and adapt to ongoing training and feedback. Someone who is either working in or aspiring to work in behaviour support, occupational therapy, speech therapy or physio therapy would be perfect for this role as we work closely with these therapies and integrate goals into what we do with the children on a daily basis. Please note a drivers licence and access to a car is essential for the role. We are looking for someone who can make a long term commitment of at last 1 year and the role requires regular weekly work with the child to be able to work with him on the school holidays so I am not able to accept applicants who are looking for temporary or solely school holiday work. Hi, we're a young couple with a 6 month old who will be starting Daycare in May. We both work and have to leave for our jobs early in the morning. Looking for someone just for an hour in the mornings to look after our baby and walk her yo daycare which is just down the road ~ 8 min walk. Daycare starts at 7.30am. About us, we are young couple at our early 30s, first time parent. Both working full time while my Partner Helen mostly work from home.
Walter started CC in December 2024. Prior to that, my mum has been tacking care of Walter during day time since he was borned, we live under the same roof, and Walter co - sleep with us every night. For some reason, Walter has struggle to settle into his CC which is currently attending two days per week. Educator has found him generally upset on most of the days. So we deciding to drop off two days of CC and having a nanny instead.
We have a planned leave from 12 April to 4th May which we will be overseas. So we would like to officially start the care week commencing 4th May.

We will then go with one candidate and would like you to commit one day per week prior to 12th April. We will then discuss your pay rate/ day rate.

We are a family of three and would like to find someone to look after our almost two year old Luna, two times a week preferably in the mornings from 8am until she goes to bed around 12pm on Mondays and Thursdays. These days are flexible slightly if someone is the right fit and these days don’t suit. We would also like Luna’s nanny to be free occasionally on either a Saturday or Sunday, once every 6 weeks.

Hello - we are a family of 5 located in Ashburton. We have three beautiful children - 9 y/o girl, 8 y/o boy and a 6 y/o boy - and are looking for a nanny to help with before and after school care on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We would also love to have someone who can stay a few hours while the children are at school to help with general household tasks related to the kids (ie - meal prep, laundry, baking of school snacks, etc).
Specific timing would be 7:15 am to 9:15 am and then from 3 pm to 6 pm. The additional hours to cover general tasks is flexible and we're happy to make the timing suit your schedule.
In the mornings (7:15 - 9:15 am) we are specifically looking for someone to assist with getting the kids ready for school and assist in drop off. There may be time for meal prep or after school snack prep. We are less than a 5 min walk to school so no driving required.
The afternoons (3 pm - 6 pm) will include gathering after-school snacks, assisting in school pick-up (3:30 pm), and taking the kids to activities. We will provide the car for transport and most activities are about a 10 min drive from our home. When home from activities we'll need help getting them showered and some dinner prep.

We are a family of four, looking for an experienced infant nanny for TWO weekdays (can be flexible which days) per week of care for our baby daughter. She will be approximately six months old at the time of commencement in mid May 2025 - to support mother's return to work. Here are the details (i.e. I’m slightly OCD) so if you’re half a chance so far, please read on.
Us:
We're a family with 3 kids - a 4 1/2yo girl who's at kinder 2 days a week (Mon & Wed), a 3yo girl, and 1 1/2yo boy.
- The girls are quite into their arts and crafts, currently obsessed with playing mums & dads, and love dress ups, and our little man is a super chilled toddler who fits into what we’re up to and is starting to have his own adorable personality, loves magnetic tiles, his footy, throwing a ball and loves dancing.
- The kids all love all the crafts, painting, play dough, sensory activities, bike rides, pram walks, picnics, playground time… so much playground time…, collecting flowers, leaves, sticks (that all stay outside), boardgames, puzzles, and heaps of other activities we have ready to go at home.
- We also have two dogs - small and medium fluff balls with big personalities who love pats.
- Dad works full time usually at the office, I work mostly from home, very occasionally go to the office meaning I'll very much be present while you’re here, and therefore am available for quick help, questions, etc. but I do need to actually work.
Our Mary Poppins:
- Has the standard checks: WWCC, Police Check, First Aid, reliable transport to our home, a licence and comfortable driving a big car to take kids to activities (swimming/ballet/kinder).
- Is comfortable with dogs: as mentioned we have 2 dogs who are very much a part of and involved with the family and will be all over you (they’re annoyingly friendly but zero danger).
- Is responsible, punctual and professional, experienced, easy going, and clean (there's that OCD) who can be present with them and can get the kids comfortable with you quickly. Can also be generally helpful to me and hands on with stuff like unpacking shopping, folding/putting away laundry etc.
- Is competent in the kitchen and able to help with light cleaning mostly after the kids (usually organising their space or making sure the place is back to normal). You'll need to prep lunches and a couple of small snacks and work around a nap for either one or 2 of them during the day, which is usually pretty consistent.
- Is really great at kids baths. Especially getting them out of it, moisturised and hair dried and done up!
- Can entertain the kids (no TV plonking); walks, going out to the park, playground, babycino cafe trips, ride/scooter, local community events, inside games, loves reading, playing, painting, crafting, making forts etc. etc.
- Can educate them - the older ones especially are at the stage where they're learning to read/write/count/learn days etc, we'd very much like to see them continue to progress with this.
- Be ok with them being sick. Given they don't go to childcare, they don't get as sick as many kids who do, but still be prepared for the occasional snotty nose or three.
- Generally be awesome with them/don’t turn out to be a psycho kidnapper.
Rate is negotiable based on experience, and to just to be upfront, we'd likely preference somebody a little more experienced at this stage. We've been through a few nannies and can now definitely tell when someone clicks with our family.
I’ve deliberately been pretty detailed so that if our unicorn nanny is reading and nodding along to all points so far, it’s probably a good sign. So if you’re interested please comment with an age/experience/expected rate, and we’ll message suitable candidates for more detail.
