Looking for someone who is reliable and can work a full day on Wednesdays for the rest of this year. Hours roughly 8:30-5:30/6pm. We’re looking for a housekeeper/nanny to help our very busy family. Our two children, Sam & Aimee, are both high energy, active children. Sam loves being out doors, Lego and Karate. Aimee loves going to the park, drawing and crafts. My husband Tom & I work full time, we are both English but have been in AUS for almost 12 years.
We need someone who can spend 3-4 hours a day (ideally 4 days per week) helping us with school pick-up (from after care at around 5pm), taking the kids to activities, housework, laundry, meal prep and general errands. We are back at 6pm and kids are in school aftercare most days, so a significant portion of the hours would be ahead of them being picked up, to give time for the household jobs. We would love someone who is looking for a longer-term role (sorry no one looking for short-term positions).
In an ideal world, we'd love someone Mon-Thursday from 2-6pm (with some flexibility if we were going out for dinner or similar) but we can flex if needed. Hello! We are looking for someone to help us out in June, July and August while our nanny goes travelling.
We have three children; the older two (8 and 6) go to Fairfield Primary and the younger (nearly 3) goes to day care very close to our house.
Specifically we would be looking for before school care (which would usually entail arriving 6.30am, sometimes later) including day care and school drop offs, and after school care for the older two plus day care pickup for the 3 year old, Monday-Wednedsay. We would also likely need some evening babysitting and occasional care on other days if you were available. So this would entail 6.30am-9am and 3.30-6.30pm Monday-Wednesday.
We'd prefer to operate on a flexible basis as our rosters mean that sometimes we can cover the morning or afternoon stint.
Our kids do some clubs locally on some of those days so ideally you'd have your own car, but if you can manage the pickups and drop-offs from our house to the school (1km walk, kids are fine with this) then we can work around the other stuff with help from family.
Our kids are not difficult to look after and we can be flexible with your commitments if you give us as much notice as possible.
It would be great if you were happy to help with dinner prep for the kids and occasional household tasks like hanging out or folding laundry, making lunchboxes etc.
While this is a short term assignment, it's highly likely that if we all got along we would continue to use you for babysitting or occasional childcare when our regular nanny is unavailable when she gets back.
