I started my journey looking after younger cousins and siblings, which progressed into a passion for care. I pursued a traineeship in early education at 17 before COVID’s lockdown enforced. During my time working in the centre I worked with children with various different needs including disabilities, working with speech therapists and schools for school preparation. I learnt to support 30-60 kids five days a week and develop individual relationships which each child and their families. Having navigating covid times I moved on to a different career path in warehousing and administration, continuing to provide care to one family focusing on the growth of two children who are now both in primary school and more recently offering household support/ care for a first time mum with her newborn.
