Hi, I’m Lilly, I’m currently a student studying a bachelor of Speech Pathology and eventually would love to work in a paediatric clinic or hospital! At age 15 and onwards I was involved in volunteering as water safety for nippers at Point Leo SLSC, where I assisted children aged 6-14 years old swimming and paddling on boards in rough conditions, helping to build their confidence and surf lifesaving skills. Throughout the holidays, I’ve looked after children aged between 3-12 years old around the neighbourhood. I have been with Peas in a Pod agency for a year now and was with a family on the Mornington Peninsula. I had a great experience with them, the kids were delightful and felt I really built a trusting and fun relationship with them both. The kids were aged 10 and 12 years old, this job consisted of me picking up from the bus stop, driving to sports/activities, getting them sorted for school the next day, playing all sorts of games, cooking dinner, completing light house duties and cleaning up dinner. During the school holidays, I would keep them entertained by going on walks, trying out new activities around the neighbourhood, as well letting them do there own thing when their playdate was over (always checking in on them of course). But unfortunately will be based in Melbourne now, so I'm looking for a new family! I am a very active person who loves the outdoors, whether that’s camping, surfing, swimming, running, or walking my border collie! In the past with other kids, I’ve also enjoyed taking them to the park, for walks, doing creative activities such as painting and drawing. And of course, playing games and outdoor activities. I also have had experience and enjoy helping out with homework, driving to school or sport, cooking dinner, reading, washing and getting kids ready for bed.
