Meet Tracey: A nanny, babysitter, and au pair in Fitzroy North, VIC

Hello parents,

I'm Tracey, a 54 year old with youthful energy and enthusiasm for life.

I am the lady at the check out who makes your baby smile, says hi to your children and enjoys a little natter!

I've loved babies, toddlers and young kids from when I started child minding at the age of 13 in my home town of Castlemaine. After high school, I worked in child care centres throughout the late 80's and early 90's before becoming a professional singer in Melbourne and other parts of Australia..

I have raised two well adjusted young men who are now 27 and 19 and have no intention of giving me grandchildren any time soon which is very unfortunate!

I'm also close to my teenage nieces and feel I'm experienced around the 'girl thing' as well.

I have worked in many industries in my life, from entertainment, hospitality, retail, a singing teacher in primary and secondary schools, and for the past 7 years worked in aged care and disability support work.

This year 2024, I've taken time out for me, to travel through parts of Europe and the USA and I've had an incredible time. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to recharge my batteries and now ready to get to work again and for an industry change.

I would like be of service to a family where I feel welcome and at ease in creating a fun but also calming environment. I believe children thrive in a routine, maybe I'm old fashioned, but feel a routine works for everyone, we all love well rested and happy kids!

I am happy to cook and will keep you ( if required) and your children well nourished. I'm of Italian descent but can cook whatever you require. Household duties are fine as well, I work well in a clean environment, like to keep children especially clean and dressed in warm clothes, (I often see kids these days with no socks and no hat in winter and i become a little horrified!!)

I LOVE reading to children and thoroughly at home in creating a magical fantasy land, I'm not shy in performing silly dance moves and playing games, I love to teach songs and have a knack for getting the most cry baby to sleep with a lullaby.

I am confident in my abilities having had parenting and life experience, but also understand that I will be taking your instructions on board of course.

I'm honest, reliable and flexible, I am warm, personable and get along with all walks of life, oh and I love animals too!

Current working with children's card, police check and first aid/anaphylactic certificates .
