Meet Faustine: A babysitter in Northcote, VIC

My name is Faustine, I'm 21 and I'm French !

I am currently an au pair with a family in Melbourne on the North Coast, I take care of a little boy aged 5. I take him to school every morning and pick him up every afternoon. However, I am free every weekend and weekday evenings from around 6 p.m./6:30 p.m.

Having an 11-year-old sister, I feel very comfortable with children. I've had the opportunity to look after her since she was born, which has given me experience in childcare. I also have a little cousin (of whom I am godmother), she is 8 months old and I look after her very regularly.

In addition, In July 2022, I worked at the Festival des Jeux de Parthenay, a two-week festival organized throughout the town with different game stands such as board games, wooden games and manual games. I was in charge of the motor skills stand for children aged 1 to 12. It was a very rewarding experience.

For several years now, I've also been babysitting at weddings and events. I look after children aged between 0 and 12 for an entire evening, sometimes even afternoons and nights. I organize a variety of age-appropriate activities for them, such as board games, painting, coloring, modeling clay and reading.

I understand the importance of creating a safe, warm and stimulating environment for children. I am also aware of the responsibilities that come with this role, and I am fully committed to giving your children all the attention and support they need.
