Meet Dionne: A nanny and babysitter in Mount Hawthorn, WA

My name is Dionne and I am a professional, nurturing, and warm person who loves children. I have completed most of a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education degree (with a specialisation in Diversity) at Edith Cowan University. I now have an ACECQA approved equivalent.

I have spent the last 11 years working with children of all ages. I have previously worked as a nanny with a variety of different families from different backgrounds, and I believe I am well equipped to handle any new challenges that come my way while working with children of all ages. I believe that due to my knowledge of child development, and my ability to form trusting relationships with children and their families, I would be an exceptional candidate to care for your children.

From my experiences and studies so far, I have developed an in-depth skill set which continues to deepen and grow. My passion lies with valuing each child as an individual, as well as the importance of play in a child's development. I understand that fun activities implemented through play enhance development in all areas. Through play, children can practice life skills, construct their own learning and are able to develop autonomy and independence. I also have an in depth understanding of children's behaviour and the deeper root cause of and behavioural issues that may arise. I havwe the skills to respond compassionately and appropriately to misbehaviours and to diffuse volatile situations. I am committed to forming great relationships with not only the children that I care for, but also with the families as well.

Above all else, I would ensure that my priority is to provide a quality duty of care for the children, ensuring that at all times they are safe, healthy and happy! I have a valid - Working with Children Check - National Police History Check - Supervisor Certificate in Childcare - First Aid in Education - Asthma and Anaphylaxis - Food Safety Certificate.
