Meet Phoenix: A nanny and babysitter in Bentleigh East, VIC

ABOUT ME

i I'm Phoenix, I have been Babysitting kids since i practically was a kid myself. I was always left at dance school to mind the younger children and had my first offical job looking after children at the age of 16. Having much younger step siblings also taught me responsibility and the importance of having trustworthy and engaging people looking after your family. I have looked after a great range of children, from infants (6 months) to adolescence (15 years of age). Providing a safe and loving environment for learning, creativity and Play. I am very comfortable with Preparing meals, diaper changes and open to discussion of other household duties/requirements. The last few years i have been very fortunate to work in the field of Musical Theatre, performing alongside children in the musicals such as 'Charlie and the Chocolate factory' and most recently have come off the Musical 'Six'. In between contracts i often come back to Nannying/Babysitting as working with and minding children has always been a passion of mine.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

Saint Finbar’s primary School, Brighton, Australia. Volunteer work for both after school and holiday programs, this job involved assistant supervising 25+ children at a time as well as organising homework sessions and learning games.

North Fitzroy primary, assistant to choreographer. I was hired to assist with North Fitzroy, primary schools, grade 5/6 musical and later hired again for their graduation. Here I helped to educate the students in all areas of performance (dance, music, and acting). This position was very rewarding as I was able to broaden my communication skills with a large group of students and watch their growth in both skill and confidence over 2 terms.

Camp Curtain Call, I was hired for a week long performance arts camp where we took children aged 8-15 and Used the week to Teach the kids a number or song and dance routines that they later showed to family and friends in the form of a showcase.

Lastly I have also done Overnights and housesitting for families.
