Meet Eliza: A nanny and babysitter in Fitzroy North, VIC

Hi there! I’m Eliza — I’m currently completing a Doctor of Clinical Psychology at Deakin University. I’ve always had a deep interest in child development and caregiving, and as I return to full-time study, I thought connecting with a local family could be a wonderful way to continue doing what I love while supporting myself through my doctorate.

I completed my Honours in Psychology at the University of Melbourne in 2022, then spent some time travelling before working as a school counsellor in the wellbeing team at Melbourne Girls’ College. During my undergraduate years, I worked as a Tutor at University of Melbourne and as a nanny for a wonderful family in Carlton. These experiences really showed me how important it is to build consistent, caring relationships with children and to appreciate what makes each child unique.

As a nanny, I’m a big believer in nurturing children’s confidence and agency — supporting them to express themselves, explore their interests, and navigate the world around them. I’ve been caring for children of all ages for nearly 10 years and bring a calm, creative, and dependable presence to the families I work with.

I’m currently based in Fitzroy North, hold a current Working With Children Check, and would love to hear from families looking for a warm and reliable nanny.
