Meet Ciarn: A nanny and babysitter in Abbotsford, VIC

Hello! My name is Ciarn, I am 19 years old and currently studying a double degree of a Bachelor or Arts and a Bachelor of Laws at Monash University. I am a very friendly, organised and driven person!

I’m looking for a job where I can help out a family with some nannying! I have experience caring for children in a wide variety of ages spanning from 1 year old to 13 years old. Over the years, I have been a trusted go-to babysitter for numerous families and within my extended family. Previously I was a regular nanny for one specific family for 3 years whose children were 5, 7, and 9 years old when I began. My role mainly involved picking the children up from school, assisting with homework, dinner, baths, and managing bedtime routines during the school term. During the school holidays I would take them on as many adventures as I can, such as to the local parks or swimming pool trying to get them out of the house and away from screens as much as possible but always ensuring we had a lot of fun together!

Additionally, I have experience previously as a short-term nanny for a gorgeous 1-year-old little girl. During my time with her, I handled nappy changes, prepared bottles as well as put her down for naps.

I genuinely enjoy kids and entertaining them with engaging activities such as arts and crafts, board games and baking creating a fun and stimulating environment for them! In addition to my childcare skills, I also am more than happy to help with light household tasks, including laundry, grocery shopping/running errands, unpacking the dishwasher and general everyday cleaning, tasks which I have successfully managed in previous roles! I also have my licence and a car which i am willing to use if required.
