Hi all. We’re looking for a casual babysitter for our 19 month old daughter Ada. We’re located in West Footscray. We don’t have any family living locally so are looking for someone to build a relationship with. We only need care occasionally but would also like to book approx 2 hours per fortnight (either as 1x 2 hrs or 2 x 1 hrs) ongoing so that Ada could get to know and feel comfortable with her sitter. I’m on leave from work but doing an internship on Thursdays so Thursday morning availability for the odd time my husband can’t look after her then would be needed (my husband has flexible work times so usually takes her then). Daytime availability will be needed.

Ada is a happy and interested toddler, loves the playground and obsessed with cats at the moment, and is great at communicating through both words and signs (she’s not deaf but knows several Auslan signs). I’m a counsellor / social worker and my husband works in education. We're keen for someone who can immerse themselves in her world, give her the time and attention she needs to communicate, is patient, fun, and can go at her pace.
