Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our household as a combined Housekeeper and Nanny. The primary responsibilities will include caring for and educating our two young children, as well as managing household tasks in collaboration with the parents. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, nurturing, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic family environment. We would like this individual to fit into our lifestyle and become part of our family. The hours for this role are fixed, but we are open to discussing flexibility. A successful applicant would have a great work ethic and be willing to work long hours and be flexible.
Responsibilities:
Childcare:
• Provide attentive and nurturing care to our 2 young children.
• Engage in age-appropriate activities, playtime, and educational games.
• Assist with feeding, bathing, and bedtime routines.
• Plan educational and enjoyable activities for our 2-year-old E.g. at the leisure centre or a play centre.
• Accompany children to appointments, daycare, playdates, and outdoor activities, as needed.
• Some travel may be required.
• Some overnight stays may be required.
• Some weekend work may be required.
Housekeeping/Household Management:
• Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and tidy home environment.
• Manage laundry, including washing, folding, and organising clothing and linens.
• Keep kitchen and common areas neat and organised.
• Coordinate and oversee household schedules and appointments.
• Assist with grocery shopping, meal planning, and meal preparation.
• Coordinate with the Personal Assistant to organise maintenance personnel or contractors, as needed.
• Keep inventory of household supplies and replenish as necessary.
• Pet care for our friendly dog.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Maintain open and transparent communication with parents regarding children’s activities, schedules, and development.
• Collaborate with parents to ensure consistency in childcare routines and disciplinary measures.
• Provide regular updates on household tasks and any issues or concerns that may arise.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience working as a nanny or childcare provider, preferably with infants and toddlers.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license desirable but not required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
• Non-smoker.
• Must be comfortable with pets.

Approximate weekly hours:
(These will vary when parent/s are travelling)
Mon: 7am-7pm
Tues: 3.30pm-7pm
Weds: 7am-7pm
Thurs: 3.30pm-7pm
Fri: 3.30pm-7pm and every second week 3.30pm-midnight or stayover to line up with the Saturday fortnightly shift
Sat: every second week 7am-12pm
When one parent is travelling there will be opportunity to work more hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
