Our amazing nanny is moving back to the UK to welcome her first baby so we are looking for her replacement. We have a 2.5 year old and we will have a newborn in May.
We are looking for someone to help my wife on a full-time basis (8am-6pm) with our newborn and household management from May, while she is on parental leave. From July, the role will involve looking after our 2 year old once our nanny returns to the UK, as well as assisting with the baby – see below for further details. We are ideally looking for a long-term person to join our family into the future.
PLEASE NOTE: We are searching for a full time person, however for the right candidates, would be willing to job share for 2x nannies.
The role will involve some progressive phases:
MAY-JUNE: Helping my wife with our newborn and household management. Assisting with bottles, sterilisation, burping, nappies, active play (including tummy time and reading), bathing, washing and putting away baby clothes, packing away toys, putting the baby down for naps/walks in the pram, monitoring and settling the baby to sleep as needed, household management (dishwasher emptying, clothes washing/folding and assisting with meal prep), running errands, etc. The baby will be on the Save our Sleep schedules.
Plus spending some time with our existing nanny and my toddler so she gets to know you.
JULY-AUGUST: Providing attentive and loving care for our 2.5 year old on a full-time basis. This involves providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, planning age-appropriate activities (reading, arts & crafts, outdoor play, music classes, play group, etc), planning and cooking healthy nutritious meals and snacks, maintain nap times and a consistent routine, doing laundry and clean-up after meals and play time. Our toddler is usually cared for by her grandparents 2 days a week, but they will be overseas at this time.
There will also be a need to continue to assist with the baby's needs per above during this time.
SEPTEMBER ONWARDS: Continuing to look after our 2.5 year old per above 3 days a week (Weds-Fri) until she starts preschool in late January 2026.
In addition, transitioning towards sole carer for the baby, starting 2 days a week when she is 4 months old, up to 3 days a week when she is 5 months old, then 4 days a week when she is 6 months old. We will still require help 5 days a week once our toddler starts preschool in January 2026, to assist my wife on a Friday with the baby and household management.
The right candidate

- Kind, patient, energetic, confident, helpful and takes initiative
- Flexible and willing to support our family as needed within working hours
- A sense of humour is a plus
- WWCC + Police check + glowing references
- Recent whooping cough vaccination
- Drivers licence (must be a confident driver as part of the job)

Our current nanny can speak with you about the position and our family.
Looking forward to hearing from you 😊
