My name is Zoe, and I am 21 years old. I currently work at a before and after school care centre, where I serve as an Assistant Coordinator. My primary responsibilities include ensuring the health and safety of the children, fostering positive relationships with them, collaborating effectively with parents and carers, preparing and cooking meals, and guiding and supporting fellow educators in their roles. Additionally, I am responsible for the centre's programming and menu planning, which involves designing activities, creating recipes, and organising food, equipment, and craft supplies.
In my current role at a before and after school care service, I have had three years of experience providing inclusion support for children with ASD and ADHD. This has involved creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment tailored to their individual needs. I have worked closely with these children to help them develop social skills, manage sensory sensitivities, and engage in daily activities at their own pace.
I am currently pursuing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education. Having grown up with a younger brother and engaging in local babysitting, I have developed a strong sense of responsibility and a keen awareness of children’s safety and welfare. I pride myself on being reliable, punctual, and adaptable, always completing tasks to a high standard. I am an effective communicator and work well as part of a team. Furthermore, I ensure to present myself professionally and appropriately for my role.
