Born in Melbourne and where I lived for the first 3 years of my life. I relocated to the UK (I have dual citizenship) where I successfully completed school, and subsequently obtained a degree in English from the University of Sussex. I will be permanently relocating to Melbourne at the end of Jan 2025. Since graduating, I have had experience working with children aged 4-11 in a school as a teaching assistant (DBS checked = British equivalent of WWCC). During my time at the school, I was responsible for providing one-on-one support for children with special educational needs and disabilities, led small group interventions which covered all curriculum areas, completed a course focusing on supporting the emotional wellbeing of the children and independently ran sessions for those who needed access to social and emotional support, occasionally covered for class teacher and assisted with lesson planning. I would love to become an Au Pair/Nanny, as I take great joy in helping children learn, grow and explore the world around them. I would hugely benefit from the experience, as it offers the valuable and unique opportunity to expand my life experiences. The chance to become an extended part of a family, whilst providing support with childcare and household tasks is appealing to me as I want to be able to contribute to the daily lives of a family and create a special bond.I would be a reliable, trustworthy and patient Au Pair with a sense of humour, and would ensure to respect all family boundaries. I can also offer any additional tutoring in any subject.

Looking for: Part-time

Do you realise how hard it is to write about yourself, to be able to say what you want about yourself so that you as a parent feel comfortable to contact me as a perspective nanny? I have been working in child care since Dec '89, I've worked both in long day care (mainly in the kinder room, 3-5yr olds) and as a Nanny I worked with ages ranging from newborns to a 15yr old (she now is 37yr old - yikes !!) I'd really like to go back to working with a family with a newborn (or newly born) so in 2016 I went back to study and did a Newborn Specialist Course to keep my skills updated While working in long day care I've also had the privilege of looking after a few children with disabilities. I have my Certificate III & Diploma in Children's Services, Newborn Specialist Course, First Aid & CPR and Working with Children Check (WWCC) - and I'm sure there is something I've forgotten !! Out of work hours I enjoy reading and making things, I'm very a very crafty person, just wait till you see and eat my gingerbread creations at Christmas time. Oh yes and I'm very organised and a bit of a neat freak.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi lovely parents! My name is Téa and I am looking for work over the school holidays period, either part time or casual. Ideally, any parents reaching out need someone to babysit/child mind on a regular basis or to help in regards to an upcoming event. Background: I am going into my third year of uni in 2025, studying a bachelor of arts at the University of Melbourne. I major in psychology, and hope to one day work as an animal assisted therapist for children. Availability: For the school holiday period I am available to work every day, at any time. I currently work with 2 lovely families. One that requires casual babysitting once every fortnight or so after hours, so my availability can fluctuate but I will happily convey this with you. And a second that required before school help from 7:30am till 10am, but now only casually for the holidays. Rate: My rate is $40 per hour, but I charge an extra $10 per hour (ie. $50 per hour) if you are wanting me to stay past midnight. Services: 1. Babysitting/child minding 2. Pet sitting/walking 3. Cooking/meal prep 4. Light cleaning 5. Basic homework help 6. Fun! Experience and Qualifications: As I’ve mentioned, I am currently working with two families. One where I look after two young boys aged 9 and 12, and another where I look after a 6 yearold girl. However, my experience working with children is much more vast. One of my hobbies growing up was playing chess, and I have fortunately been able to make a job out of it by tutoring primary and secondary school students. I have worked solo with classes of 3 to 20+ students at a time, and in team settings with 400 kids under my care. This means that I have gained a deep understanding as how to work with children who have learning difficulties and behavioural challenges. My work also requires me to have an employee wwcc and first aid certificate in an education and care setting. Upon request I am happy to share this with you. I have my license and can take kids to and from school/sport or any other activities. If I had your permission, I would love to take them to the zoo, park, bowling, etc to keep them entertained and happy. I completely understand if you would prefer to meet me before agreeing to any work and am happy to do so. I can’t wait to hear from you :)
